Dr. Glusman earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Neuropsychology from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She completed her residency and fellowship in Clinical Neuropsychology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. Dr. Glusman has trained and worked in a variety of settings, including academic medical centers, VA hospitals, and professional athletics (Major League Soccer). Prior to starting her private practice, Dr. Glusman worked at the Naval Hospital in Beaufort.

Dr. Glusman specializes in assessing cognitive dysfunction in adults (18 years and older) due to a variety of causes including:

  • Neurodegenerative diseases (e.g., dementia)

  • Movement disorders (e.g., Parkinson’s disease, essential tremor)

  • Cerebrovascular conditions (e.g., transient ischemic attack, stroke)

  • Autoimmune diseases (e.g., Multiple Sclerosis, myasthenia gravis, Type I diabetes)

  • Neoplastic disorders (e.g., cancer)

  • Genetic and developmental disorders

  • Mild-severe Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)

  • Capacity evaluations

  • Presurgical evaluations (e.g., Deep Brain Stimulation, kidney transplant, epilepsy, brain tumor).

Neuropsychological assessments are not limited to those with an existing problem or medical condition. Dr. Glusman evaluates individuals who want baseline testing of their current cognitive abilities as well as those who are concerned about current or future cognitive functioning. This often includes individuals who are concerned about a family history of dementia or those who feel they are not as “sharp” as they use to be.

Dr. Glusman was born and raised in Mobile, Alabama. She moved to Beaufort, South Carolina with her husband, Patrick, who currently serves as a Naval Aviator. They have one daughter and two rescue dogs. They have fallen in love with the low country, and have decided to reside here once Patrick retires (Fall 2024).
